Claire & Luke — Minted

Claire

and

Luke

Party

Sarah Fisher

Maid of Honor

Sarah and Claire are cousins, but Claire has always viewed Sarah as a sister. So much so that Claire asked Sarah to be her Maid of Honor at the age of six. Now, 22 years later, it’s official! Sarah currently lives and works as an HR Specialist in the heart of Chicago. She spends most of her time exploring all of the amazing things the city has to offer! She loves getting to try new restaurants or spending quality time with friends, family, and her partner Jack.

When asked to share a favorite memory of Claire, Sarah said, "All of the childhood memories I have with Claire. She was like a third sister to me. There was no better feeling than trying to convince our parents to let us have a sleepover after a family party and getting them to say YES. The late night laughs and playing with Barbies in the basement are still some of my most cherished childhood memories.”

Sarah offered advice to the happy couple in the form of a quote from Julie Andrews, who said, “Marriage is like a graph—it has its ups and downs, and as long as things bounce back up again, you’ve got a good marriage. If it heads straight down, then you’ve got some problems!"

Kelly Ashley

Bridesmaid

Kelly and Claire met in high school at Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Illinois. The two were in an art class together and quickly bonded over glitter glue, Diet Coke, and McDonald’s french fries. Kelly currently lives in Waukesha, Wisconsin and works for a printing business that specializes in medical labels and tapes. Kelly is a loving cat-mom to Spice, but is begging for a dog someday. She loves plants and a good hug. For Kelly, an ideal Friday night is spent watching movies with a big bowl of popcorn or having game nights with friends.

When asked if Kelly had any advice for the happy couple, she said, "Never leave the house angry with one another. People always say ‘don't go to bed angry’, but I think it’s more than that. Leave the house with positive vibes and love. Keep it a routine so that the anger doesn’t linger. That way, you know at the end of the day, what matters is that you are coming home to your person who you love and not right back to an argument."

Sonya Dexter

Bridesmaid

Sonya met Claire in 2014 while they were both first-year students at Colgate University. Since then, their friendship has grown and the two enjoy visiting each other once or twice each year. Sonya is currently a medical student at Loyola University in Chicago. In her precious spare time, she enjoys trying new restaurants and bars throughout Chicago.

When asked to share a favorite memory of Claire, Sonya said, “Some of my favorite memories with Claire involve hitting the dance floor at The Jug, our favorite college bar. I'm ready to shake off the dust and bring my best moves to the dance floor at Luke and Claire's wedding!"

Maggie Lenczowski

Bridesmaid

Maggie, or “Mags” as Claire calls her, met Claire in 2011 while the two were in high school at Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Illinois. Ever since they shared their first cafeteria lunch, Maggie and Claire have been best friends. Maggie currently lives in Chicago and works in hospital administration as a cause analyst for all litigation cases and harm events — yes, they happen a lot! She is a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews and her dream job would be never having to work and living in Italy.

When asked if she had any advice for the happy couple, Maggie shared, "If you don’t like something the other person does, try to love it for 5 minutes."

Colleen McGuire

Bridesmaid

Colleen and Claire met in 2016 after Luke and Claire had been dating for about nine months. When Claire moved to Washington after college, Colleen welcomed her with open arms. Colleen currently lives in Rockville, Maryland and is a pediatric nurse in the Cardiac ICU at Children's National Hospital. She is an incredible wife to Patrick McGuire (one of Luke’s groomsmen), a devout mother to her french bulldogs Stella and Zoe, and she recently had her first child, Rosemary Anne McGuire, in February!

When asked about a favorite memory of Claire, Colleen shared, "I particularly enjoy the time I invited Claire over to hangout with me while Patrick celebrated his COVID bachelor party with his groomsmen, which included Luke. Claire and I hung out, chatted, and watched TV upstairs while the bachelor party ensued in our basement. Sadly, I had to work the next day, so I went up to bed only to hear Claire secretly communicate with the bachelor party downstairs yelling, 'HEY GUYS CAN I COME HANGOUT?'. Claire then slipped her way into power hour with the guys, adding an extra member to the bachelor squad while I was fast asleep upstairs."

Mackenzie Murphy

Bridesmaid

Mackenzie met Claire in 2014 at Colgate University where they were randomly assigned as first-year roommates. They quickly formed a deep friendship and shared all the ups and downs of college life together. Mackenzie currently lives in Brooklyn, New York and works in public health. She loves going to concerts, playing catch in the park, and spending time with friends and family.

When asked about a favorite memory of Claire, Mackenzie shared, "Every year, Claire and I would dress up in a couples costume for Halloween and, as the years went on, the costumes got less and less recognizable, until no one knew what we were but us. I still think that dressing up as Channing Tatum and the whiteboard he writes a bunch of 4's on in 21 Jump Street was a good idea but many, many people disagreed."

Kara Posniewski

Bridesmaid

Kara, Luke’s sister, met Claire in 2016 after the happy couple had been dating for about nine months. Since then, the two have bonded over their love of art, design, and music. When she’s not babysitting Luke and Claire’s dog Humphrey, Kara works at Heyday Skincare. She loves food, dogs, sports, and long hikes at the Billy Goat Trail in Potomac, Maryland.

When asked if she had any advice for the happy couple, Kara’s wise words were, "Listen to Humphrey.”

Carly Schilling

Bridesmaid

Carly was one of the first people Claire met at Colgate University. They became fast friends, had many adventures, and helped one another adjust to life in college. Carly currently lives in Kalamazoo, Michigan with her fiancé Richy and their dog Tilly. She works in Marketing at Stryker, a medical device company.

When asked about a favorite memory of her friendship with Claire, Carly shared, "My favorite memory with Claire is visiting her over the summer and going to Lollapalooza! It was my first time visiting Chicago and it was a blast!"

Alex Taylor

Best Man

Luke met Alex in 2013 while the two were both first-year students at Colgate University. Since then, they’ve been best friends. Alex currently lives in Washington, D.C., where he moved after college purely because Luke and Claire were moving there as well. He works as a geologist and enjoys hiking, reading, and going to breweries with his friends.

When asked if he had a favorite memory of Luke, Alex shared, "After graduation, Luke and I took a two-week-long road trip around California, visiting Max and Jonathan along the way and camping in the national parks. We are both pretty laid back so naturally we did almost zero planning in advance, but the trip went perfectly. Seeing a bear, fighting off raccoons, and going on an adventure with my best friend are things I will never forget."

Alex’s advice for Claire and Luke is, "Keep making space to grow in your creative pursuits together."

Kevin Beins

Groomsman

Kevin and Luke met in high school and their friendship developed throughout their college years. Kevin was born and raised in the D.C. area, but has lived in Baltimore for the last five years. Known for his ability to talk people's ears off, coupled with his passion for conflict, Kevin decided to pursue a legal career. He now works as a trial attorney in a Maryland law firm. When asked to describe Kevin, Claire (allegedly) stated, "My sense of fashion and interior design, as well as my love of movies, was inspired by Kevin! I owe everything to him." Kevin is a diehard fan of Michael Jordan's NBA home, the Washington Wizards. He enjoys exploring new places and finding new bars and restaurants. However, at the end of the day, there's nothing Kevin enjoys more than curling up on his beanbag chair to watch a movie with a cool glass of orange jubilee and a bowl full of microwavable meatballs.

When asked if he had any advice for the happy couple, Kevin said, “I've never been married, so any advice I give should be taken with a grain of salt. Instead, I want to say that one of the things I love about you two as a couple is how much you enjoy each other's company! You don't just love each other, you love being around each other. You both found your best friend. And I just think that's the greatest! Never stop being best friends."

Max Israelit

Groomsman

Max met Luke and Claire during their freshman year at Colgate University. They shared some of his happiest memories from college together and Max has loved watching them build a life together in D.C. post-graduation. Max is currently in business school in Boston and works in corporate sustainability. He loves to cook overly-elaborate meals for friends and enjoys hikes in the New England forests.

Max’s advice for Claire and Luke is, “Always remember that you’re on the same team. It’s not me versus you, it’s us versus the problem."

Patrick McGuire

Groomsman

Luke met Patrick in 2010 during their first year of high school at Georgetown Prep. Patrick lives in Rockville, Maryland and works in corporate finance. He is a loving husband, soon-to-be girl dad (in February), top-tier dog dad to his Frenchies Stella and Zoe, and the muse of Colleen McGuire.

When asked if he has a favorite memory of Luke, Patrick said, "I have too many great memories of Luke to count, but some that come to mind are from back in our high school track days. We would spend equal amounts of time running as we did cracking jokes, messing with our coaches, and finding new elaborate ways to entertain ourselves. Through it all, Luke still drank pickle juice on race day no matter how much we made fun of him. "

Andrew Pandaleon

Groomsman

Luke was introduced to Andrew by Claire when the couple was still in college. Since then, they’ve spent lots of time together during trips to New York, D.C., Martha’s Vineyard, and Chicago. Andrew lives in New York City and works in commercial real estate development at Sterling Project Development. He enjoys entertaining friends, trying new restaurants, and weekend road trips.

Andrew shared that one of his favorite memories of Luke has been, "Staying up ‘till the wee hours discussing life while Claire tries to sleep."

Ted Pandaleon

Groomsman

Luke and Ted met while Claire and Luke were in college. They have bonded over the past couple of years and enjoy visiting each other in Charlotte, North Carolina and Washington, D.C. Ted currently lives in Charlotte where he works as a NASCAR aerodynamics Technical Lead for General Motors (GM). He enjoys spending time with his girlfriend Jessica and his two dogs, Senna and Kingman (“Kinny").

When asked if he had any advice to share with the happy couple, Ted said, "Get Humphrey a sibling!"

Robert Posniewski

Groomsman

Robert is Luke’s oldest brother and currently lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife Haley and two adorable cats. He currently works for Hilton and enjoys all-things food as well as sports, especially lacrosse.

A favorite memory shared by Robert and Luke was when the three brothers ventured out to the Billy Goat Trail in Maryland to reenact scenes from the Lord of the Rings on the rocky shores of the Potomac.

Sam Posniewski

Groomsman

Sam is the younger of Luke’s two older brothers. He currently lives in Bethesda, Maryland and works for outdoor recreation company REI. He loves sports, especially all-things basketball and the Baltimore Orioles and is also passionate about running. Sam dares anyone to ask him about musicals, which is one of his absolute favorite areas of interest.

One of Sam’s favorite memories with Luke was “forcing Luke to listen to Sam’s Town by The Killers every single morning while driving to school in my eighth grade year."

Jonathan Santiago

Groomsman

Luke and Jonathan have been great friends since they were first-year students at Colgate University. Jonathan currently lives in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and works for the Department of Health and Human Services as a data analyst. He enjoys spending his free time driving his moped around the coast, visiting all of the local seafood joints and bars, and playing pickleball in the park.

When asked if he had any advice for the bride and groom, Jonathan referenced Luke’s surprise proposal to Claire saying, "My advice would be to let me know in advance next time you’re taking once-in-a-lifetime videos or photos…"

Grady Shook

Groomsman

Grady has known Luke his whole life. As children, they swam at their neighborhood pool and then continued their friendship through elementary school and high school. Grady currently lives with his fiancé, Kate Stinson, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. He works on the Display Team for Mars Wrigley in their Newark, New Jersey headquarters. He enjoys watching all the D.C. sports teams, playing golf, playing guitar, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.

Grady gave the following advice to Claire and Luke, "Practice patience and support with one another because you can’t always control what’s happening in the world around you, but you can always handle it together."
