Our Story
Claire and Luke ("Cluke") met through mutual friends in 2014 as first-year students at Colgate University. After a year of friendship, they began dating in the fall of 2015 and have been inseparable ever since. The pair graduated in the spring of 2018; Claire received a BA in Art History and Museum Studies, and Luke received a BA in International Relations and German. After graduation, they both chose to pursue careers in Washington, D.C., where they still live today with their dog, Humphrey.
In June of 2022, Luke asked Claire to marry him among their friends in Paso Robles, California. Currently, Claire works at the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery as an Advancement Communications Specialist and Luke is a rising third-year law student at George Washington University Law School. They are incredibly excited to begin the next chapter of their story surrounded by their family and friends in Claire’s hometown of Lake Forest, Illinois!
